Geburtstags-Koala

Heute hab ich wieder eine Geburtstagskarte für euch, und zwar die für meinen Papa.

Die Punkte im Hintergrund sind von Create A Smile. Gestempelt hab ich sie zuerst mit Distress Oxiden und danach hab ich die Außenlinie etwas versetzt mit schwarzem Embossingpulver heat-embossed, genau wie das 'birthday' von Avery Elle. Das kleine 'happy' kommt von Lawn Fawn.

Für den Slider hab ich eine Stanze von Lawn Fawn benutzt, das tolle interaktive Set von Dani Peuss, damit mein Papa auch weiß, was er machen muss und mit dem süßen Koala von Avery Elle habe ich den Slider versteckt.

Auf diesem Weg hat mein Papa dann auch erfahren, dass er zum Geburtstag Karten für das George Ezra Konzert bekommt - das zuuuufällig an meinen Geburtstag stattfindet, hihi.



Today I want to show you the birthday card I made for my dad.

The dots in the back are from a Create A Smile stamp set, I used distresse oxides to stamp them in two colours and because I wanted to give the card a bit of a messier look I didn't heat-embossed the outlines very tidy.
I also used heat-embossing for the word 'birthday' from Avery Elle. The little 'happy' is from Lawn Fawn.

For the slider I used the die from Lawn Fawn and the interactive stamp set from Dani Peuss so my dad knows what to do haha. I hid the slider element with the cute koala from Avery Elle.

That's how my dad found out we got him tickets for George Ezra - and the show just so happens to be on my birthday, haha

wild ride

Normalerweise gehör ich bei Geburtstagspost ja immer eher so zur Sorte 'auf den letzten Drücker', nur bei Post nach Neuseeland, da geb ich mir immer richtig Mühe. Dieses Päckchen ist hoffentlich auch rechtzeitig zum Geburtstag von einem meiner Au Pair Kinder angekommen.

Ich wollte ihr eigentlich eine Karte schicken, auf der sie auf ihrem Pferd reitet, aber das Lawn Fawn Pferd, das ich hatte, passte irgendwie nicht so als Reitpferd und deswegen hab ich den Esel von Clearly Besotted umfunktioniert, ich hoffe sie sieht das nicht so eng, hihi.

Wie bei der Führerschein-Karte hab ich für den Hintergrund meine selbstgemachten Stencils und Distress Oxide benutzt.

Normally I'm in the annoying habit of doing most of my cards last minute but when it comes to mail  to New Zealand I make sure I'm ready in time! I hope my latest parcel made it in time for one of my Au Pair kids' birthday.

I planned to send her a card where she's riding her horse but the Lawn Fawn horse I have didn't really fit a rider so I used the donkel from Clearly Besotted, I hope she'll forgive me :)

Once again, for the background I played around with Distress Oxides and my selfmade stencils.

Call Me Driver

Kennt ihr das, wenn ihr eine ganz einfache Karte plant und alles perfekt funktioniert und das Endergebnis auch noch toll aussieht? Ich ja normalerweise nicht, haha. Hier ist aber ausnahmsweise mal alles gelungen und ich bin total zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.
Gemacht wurde die Karte für jemanden, der gerade seinen Führerschein bestanden hat und benutzt habe ich dafür ein Miniset von Lawn Fawn.
Den Stencil für Wolken und Gras habe ich mit Hilfe von Stanzen selbst gemacht.

You know that feeling when everything just works on a card? I normally don't, haha. But here everything just fell into place and even though it's very simple I'm super happy with the result.
I made this slider card for someone who just passed their driving test.
I only used a mini stamp set from Lawn Fawn and turned the grass and cloud dies into a stencil.
