Heute kommt der versprochene zweite Teil der 'Abenteuer'-Postkartenreihe mit meinen Pfadfinder-Kids.

Dieses Mal habe ich für meine Szene die Stempel von Pretty Pink Posh verwendet und auf beiden Karten mit Copics koloriert (auch hier sieht man aber sehr deutlich, dass sich die Farben auf dem Postkartenrohling nicht wirklich verblenden lassen)

This time I used a stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh for my scene and used Copics on both cards (you can really see the difference in blending here, it didn't work great on the postcard)

Heute hab ich eine Resteverwertungskarte für euch. Ich hatte noch etwas Papier übrig, auf dem ich mit Alkohol Inks gespielt hatte. Für einen kompletten Hintergrund hätte es nicht gereicht, also hab ich ein paar Schmetterlingsflügel daraus gestanzt und da finde ich den Effekt total schön.

For this card I used some of my alcohol ink scraps and die cut a bunch of butterflies. I love the effect it gives the wings, aren't the so pretty?

Bunte Blumen

Einen schönen Dienstag wünsche ich euch :)

Dieses fröhliche Kärtchen ist auch in die Box für die Oma gewandert (die sie übrigens mittlerweile erhalten und sich sehr gefreut hat)

Hier habe ich wie wild Stempelhersteller kombiniert - bei 10 Karten, die alle das Thema Blumen und Geburtstag aufgreifen ist es ja gar nicht so leicht, nicht alle gleich aussehen zu lassen.

Damit die Karte aber nicht ganz so langweilig ist, hab ich mit Nuvo Drops die Mitte der Blumen noch etwas hervorgehoben.

Heute hab ich eine Karte für euch, die ich passend zur aktuellen Stempelküche Challenge gemacht habe. Das Thema ist (H)Uhu und dafür habe ich Stempel hervorgekramt, die ich schon ganz lange habe (die Eule) und welche verwendet, die gerade erst im Briefkasten waren (die Buchstaben).

I made this card for the current Stempelküche Challenge. The theme is (H)Uhu, a German play on words using the word Hi and a type of owl. For this card I used stamps I've had for a long time (the owl) and brandnew ones I literally just got in the mail (the letters).

Blümchen für die Oma

Wir machen weiter mit den Karten für die Oma, heute mit Blümchen. Recht schlicht gehalten und nicht zu niedlich, damit können die Empfänger dann hoffentlich etwas anfangen :)

Moving on to flowers for my grandma's card set. I kept these quite simple and didn't add anything too cute so I hope the older generation will like them.

Bäumchen für die Oma

Weil meine Oma natürlich mein größter Fan ist, bekommt sie zum Geburtstag eine kleine Kiste mit Karten, die sie dann selbst ihren Freundinnen zum Geburtstag schicken kann.

Wie ihr wisst, sind 'Oma-Motive' nicht meine größte Stärke, aber ich hab mich an Blümchen und Naturmotive gehalten und ich denke, das Ergebnis ist ganz gut geworden.

Heute zeige ich euch die ersten drei Karten aus der Geschenkbox, drei MFT-Bäumchen.

Being the massive supporter that she is, my grandma asked me for a bunch of birthday cards to send to her friends and that's exactly what she's getting for her birthday.

As you all know I'm way more into cutesy stuff than 'grandma approved' images so I stuck to flowers and trees this time.

For the first three cards in her gift box I used the adorable trees from MFT.

missing you pig time

Ich gebe zu, ich bin den stapelbaren Tierchen von Mama Elephant komplett verfallen. Ich hab mir für diese Karte das kleine Schweinchen rausgesucht, denn meine Freundin fand den Spruch toll und hat sich dazu eine Karte gewünscht.

Den Spruch hab ich mir übrigens selbst zusammengestückelt, mit Buchstaben von Dani Peuss. Damit das auch halbwegs gerade wird, hab ich mir vorher mit Bleistift die Mitte markiert, gezählt wie viele Buchstaben ich habe und dann von der Mitte weg gestempelt.

   

Aren't the stackable cuties from Mama Elephant just too cute? My friend sent me a sentiment she really liked which was perfect for the little pig.

Because I didn't have a stamp with that exact sentiment she wanted I used alphabet stamps from Dani Peuss. I was worried of messing up the spacing so I marked the middle of my paper with a pencil and counted the letters of my sentiment. Then I started stamping all the letters from the middle, working my way outwards.

camping critters part 1

Hallöchen Popöchen,

ich und meine Pfadfinder Kids nehmen jedes Jahr an einer Postkarten-Aktion teil, wo jedes Kind eine Karte gestaltet, an eine andere Gruppe schickt und dann selbst eine Karte von einem anderen Kind erhält.

Das Thema war dieses Jahr 'Abenteuer' und das heißt für mich ganz klar Zelten und Lagerfeuer. Ich habe zwei Postkarten als Inspiration für die Kinder gestaltet, eine davon zeige ich euch heute. Das Kolorieren war hier eine kleine Herausforderung, weil sich die Copics nicht so gut auf dem Postkartenrohling verblenden lassen.

Für meinen eigenen Vorrat hab ich eine weitere Karte mit fast identischem Motiv gemacht, koloriert habe ich allerdings mit Zig Markern.

every year, I sign my scout kids up for a post card exchange where they get to draw on a blank post card, send it to their asigned partner and receive one from them in return.

This year the theme is 'Adventure' and what that means for me is sleeping outdoors and sitting around a campfire. I made two cards to inspire the kids (and took some stamps with me so they could recreate those Scenes if they wanted) and today I'm showing you one of them.

The colouring on the post card turned out to be a bit of a challenge because the Copics just wouldn't blend on the paper. I made another card with almost the same scene for my own stash but this time I used Zig markers.

With this Card I'm playing along at the current Creative Friday Challenge (Anything Goes)

Einen schönen Sonntag wünsche ich euch :)

Bei uns hat sich in den letzten Tagen endlich wieder die Sonne blicken lassen!

Das hat mich zu meiner heutigen Karte inspiriert - ein fröhlicher Haufen, der das Grau verdrängt und Farbe ins Leben bringt.

Ich habe mir hier zur Aufgabe gesetzt, eine ganze Menge Lawn Fawn Hühnchen zu stapeln - und hier hätte ich ehrlich gesagt noch ewig so weitermachen können.

Die Tierchen (und das sich heimlich dazugeschummelte Gemüse) hab ich mit meinen Zig Markern ausgemalt, der Hintergrund ist mit Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot und Hickory Smoke und viel Wasser entstanden. Ein Sprüchlein heiß embosst, Regenbogenpapier (auch von Lawn Fawn) in den Hintergrund und fertig ist die bunte Karte.

We're finally seeing a bit of the sun again here after a whole period of snow and rain. Can't believe this time last year I was 'busy' tanning on the beach in New Zealand...

The change in weather was what inspired me to make this card - a colourful happy bunch drowning out the grey.

My idea was to take a whole lot of Lawn Fawn birds and stack them up - and I could've gone on and on doing this :D

I coloured the critters (and the camouflaged veggie) with my Zig markers, for the Background I used Distress Oxide Inks (Black Soot and Hickory Smoke) and looots of water. Add a heat-embossed sentiment and some rainbow paper in the back and your card is done!

reach for the stars

Manchmal ist es auch ganz schön Karten parat zu haben, die etwas 'neutraler' sind und für verschiedene Anlässe passen.

Das war eigentlich einer der Gründe, wieso ich mir das Lawn Fawn Set als eines meiner allerersten gekauft habe. Und weil die Tierchen wirklich total süß sind. Und die Sterne auf dunklem Hintergrund in weiß so toll aussehen. Und und und ;)

Die Fensterstanze finde ich auch richtig toll, hab ich aber leider noch viiiel zu wenig benutzt.

Bei den Häschen kann man das Fenster öffnen, um die Herzformation der Sterne besser bewundern zu können, bei den Füchsen hab ich es zugeklebt. Variation und so ;)

Sometimes it's just Handy to have a few Cards on Hand that don't have a super specific Sentiment so you can use them for a variety of occasions.

That's one of the reasons I bought this Lawn Fawn stamp set as one of my very first ones. And the cute critters. And the awesome look you get by heat embossing the stars on a dark sky. I could go on ;)

I also really love the window die, I have to come up with more card designs where I can use it!

Habt ihr die aktuelle MFT Challenge schon gesehen?

Die Farben sind total meins und ich habe definitiv vor noch das ein oder andere Kärtchen dazu zu gestalten aber momentan ist meine Kreativität wohl irgendwo auf den Bahamas und schwimmt mit Schweinchen. Na was soll's, erzwingen kann man's ja auch nicht.

Um trotzdem wenigstens irgendwas zu produzieren hab ich mir mit quietschbuntem Papier beholfen und zwei flache Schüttelkarten gemacht.

Have you seen the latest MFT Colour Challenge? I just love those colours and I'm definitely planning on creating something else for that one but at the Moment my creativity seems to have taken off to the Bahamas to swim with the pigs there. Well what can you do, I hope she's living her best life until she decides to return to my craft room.

I still wanted to create something (anything! ha) so I picked up some bright papers and created two shaker cards. Definitely not my best ones but I'll take it ;)

Botanical thanks

Wenn ich einen Farn sehe, denke ich sofort an Neuseeland - und hab mich deswegen sofort in das Stempelset von Altenew verliebt.

Durch die verschiedenen Lagen bekommt man ganz schnell und einfach einen Stempelabruck der total realistisch aussieht.

Ich hab damit jedenfalls noch einiges vor, aber das erste Kärtchen ist schon vom Tisch gehüpft.

When I see ferns I think of my one true love New Zealand - and that's why I instantly knew I needed this stamp set from Altenew.
I love the realistic look you get from layering the stamps, so easy and quick to do!

I have big plans for this set and will definitely be using it for more projects but for now I only had time for one quick card.

99 Luftballons

Die Luftballons von Dani Peuss kehren heute nochmal für eine bunte Geburtstagskarte auf den Blog zurück. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich Distress Inks auf einen Acrylblock geschmiert, mit Wasser verdünnt und das Ganze auf Wasserfarbenpapier gepresst. Die Ballons sind wie der Spruch darunter heiß embosst. 

Today the balloons from Dani Peuss are back on the blog for a bright birthday card. 

For the background I put some Distress Inks on an acrylic block, put some water on and pressed it down on some watercolour paper. I then added the balloons and a sentiment with white embossing powder.

Einen schönen Sonntag wünsche ich euch :)

Bei mir ist vor Kurzem diese Karte entstanden, für jemanden der Quallen und die Farben rosa, blau und lila mag. Ich finde das passt :)

Der Hintergrund ist übrigens blauer Cardstock von Faltkarten, auf dem ich die Ränder mit Distress Oxide Inks in Chipped Saphire und Black Soot eingefärbt habe, bis die hellen Stellen nur mehr dort waren, wo ich später die Quallen aufkleben wollte. Ein bisschen Wasser hat dann für einen tollen Effekt gesorgt.

I recently made this Card for someone who likes jellyfish and the colours pink, purple and blue.

For the Background I used blue cardstock and darkened it up with Distress Oxide inks in Chipped Saphire and Black Soot until I was only left with three bright spots where I would later adhere my jellyfish. I also sprayed on a bit of water to give it an underwater look.

Halli-hallo :)

für die aktuelle AAA Cards Challenge habe ich meine Lawn Fawn Stempel herausgekramt und eine ganze Menge Fliegen(?... oder Käfer?) gestempelt, weil ich fand, dass die Flügel umgedreht aussehen, wie ein Herz und das passte super zu meiner Idee.

Alles in allem super CAS wie ich es mag, als kleinen Hingucker habe ich hier nur ein bisschen Glossy Accents auf der roten Fliege verwendet.

for the current AAA Cards Challenge I got out my Lawn Fawn stamps and stamped a whole bunch of bugs because their wings look like an upside down heart and that fit my idea for this card.

I kept this card super CAS as I like it, only the red wings got a bit of glossy accents to make them stand out.

I also want to enter this at the current Lawnfawnatics challenge (happy little critters)

Huhu (:

na, habt ihr auch basteltechnische Neujahrsvorsätze? Einer von meinen ist es heuer jedes meiner Stempelsets mindestens einmal zu benutzen - ein kleines bisschen optimistisch ist das schon, denn das sind echt viele, aber versuchen werde ich es zumindest.

Eigentlich hatte ich auch genau das vor, als ich das Thema der aktuellen Challenge Up Your Life Challenge gesehen habe: eines meiner neueren, unbenutzten Stempelsets zu verwenden. Und dann ist es doch anders gekommen. Statt neuer Produkte habe ich mich für eine neue Technik entschieden, das Alcohol Ink Lifting.

Ich bin zwar mit meinem Ergebnis noch nicht 100%ig zufrieden und werde beim nächsten Mal vielleicht ein Motiv mit dickeren Linien oder kompletten Flächen wählen und anderen Cardstock ausprobieren, aber dass am Ende zwei Karten dabei herauskommen finde ich toll.

Do you guys have crafty New Years resolutions? One of mine is to use every single one of my stamp sets at least once this year. That might be a bit optimistic seeing as I have so many but I want to at least try.

So my plan was to use one of my new, unopened stamp sets for the current Challenge Up Your Life challenge but I got sidetracked and decided on trying a technique I hadn't done before instead: Alcohol Ink lifting.

To be honest, I'm not completely happy with the results and would probably use stamps with thicker lines and different cardstock next time but I do like how you get two cards out of it.
